Murals on Sunrise Motel
These murals were painted by a previous owner of the Motel, renowned Artist, Mr. Tag Kim.
Mr. Kim's work is well known, as he has been commissioned to paint portraits for the Alberta Legislature and the Edmonton Oilers. Many of his works depict cultural, ethnic and historical aspects of Alberta life.

 |
The murals on the side of the Sunrise Motel depict wildlife in the Loyalist creek valley (the view from the Motel looking south), rural farm life, and the history of the Buffalo in our region.

Funnel Cloud
Funnel clouds are sighted all over Alberta during the summer months. Although dramatic and frightening to witness, the majority of funnel clouds sighted are like this one, which disappeared back into the clouds within a few minutes.
